Our mission
We strive to run a sustainable construction company largely using renewable and traditional materials wherever possible, focusing on renewable energies such as solar panels and heat pumps, as well as offering water storage and re-use.
We are strongly committed to employing care-leavers aged 16-18 in a mentoring process, up-skilling and teaching life-skills through good working practise.
Our team
Alex Attwood
Founder and project manager
Alex has spent over twenty years developing knowledge and a love of wood and construction. From working with his first planked chestnut tree, he went on to build bespoke furniture for various clients, and gradually incorporating his knowledge of wood and natural materials into building projects. Alex has spent two decades balancing composing music for tv and an ever-expanding building career, before finally committing to full-time construction in founding Right By Nature.

Site Supervisor
From kitchen fitting to installing high-end stereos in tanks, Greg has had a dynamic and varied career path. His steady presence and deep knowledge is much valued on site, as is his ability to work well on almost any aspect of the building process.
Oscar
Trainee builder
Oscar brings a welcome thoughtful approach to our sites, and is quick to pick up on new skills and processes. Highlights from the last year include fencing the 2026 Winter Olympic compound and ski runs in the Dolomites, and watching spaces develop from forgotten corners into beautiful living spaces.
